As the son of one of the first Belgrade Disc Jockeys, Groovyman aka Sasha Radosavljevic began his career in the family spontaneously. Thanks to a great record collection and musical knowledge he had acquired at a very young age, it was not difficult to conclude that in life he’d find himself DJing.
As a resident and program manager in some of the biggest underground clubs in the country and region, like Mint (Where Groove Lives) and many more, Groovyman also played festivals such as Sonus Festival, Exit Festival, Love Fest, and Brodolom alongside luminaries including Darren Emerson, Martijn ten Velden, Len Faki, Boris Brejcha, Purple Disco Maschine, Boris Dlugosch, Robert Owens, Steve Angello, and many, many more.
Groovyman established the duo Gramophonedzie (best known for their hit single “Why Don’t You” in 2009.) with his mate Marko Milicevic. Sasa and Marko played back to back for many years in many popular clubs and major festivals in country and region. After long and succesful partnership, Sasa decided to continue his solo career, which was the genesis of Groovyman.
Groovyman did the title track for hit movie ‘Montevideo, God Bless You’ in cooperation with the Slovenian artist Magnifico. He also won the “Community Pick” Award on the Beatport Remix Competition for his remix of Solomun’s ‘Medea‘. Currently collaborating with London-based record label SoSure Music, ‘Be Good‘, ‘Desire‘ and ‘Lift Me Up‘, featuring vocals from talented producer & writer Jamie George, are just some of his latest productions you will enjoy in clubs. His sets are a combination of sensual sound and a funky groove. And as state champion in fitness in 2009. Groovyman (a certified professional athlete) is the proof that the sport spirit, nightlife and DJing can go together perfectly.
